Join the dynamic Payments organization at JP Morgan, a leading player in the industry, offering a variety of solutions to global clients. In support of the rapidly evolving payments landscape, the Payments Controls organization is seeking a Vice President to join the Global Regulatory Developments and Engagement (GRDE) function to deliver on GRDE specific engagements and execute on regulatory and control activities.
As a Vice President within our Global Regulatory Developments and Engagement team, you will focus on monitoring, identifying and understanding Regulatory Changes impacting Payments, and engage with the business and other stakeholders through the regulatory change life cycle.
Job responsibilities Manage a cluster of jurisdictions in EMEA, and for these, develop a deep understanding or the regulatory landscape and keep abreast of the regulatory developmentsConduct regulatory research and analyse laws, regulations and developments that impact the Payment business and ensure that these are impact assessed and tracked through to executionDevelop succinct and high quality materials/internal publications for senior stakeholders across the business and for impact assessments forumsPartner with global Control Managers, Legal, Compliance and business managers to ensure regulations are assessed and dispositioned accurately, efficiently, and timelyRepresent GRDE in forums and ability to synthesize regulatory requirements and present these in relevant forums as required, where requiredEngage in other special projects, as neededRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills Significant professional experience in legal, regulatory research in a major law firm, consulting firm, Fintech and/or financial institutionHighly motivated individual with knowledge of the financial services regulatory landscape including key regulators and regulationsBroad Payments product knowledge (e.g., cash management, payment FX, overdrafts, and traditional trade)Excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable with working and partnering with people at all levels, across all functional areas and internationally. Able to motivate and gain consensus among peers and stakeholders to lead critical initiatives to completionStrong written and verbal communication skillsAnalytical skills and attention to detail in written documentationExcellent organizational, time management and planning skillsExecution-oriented self-starter who likes to take initiative and is able to deliver in efficient and effective waysProven work ethic, desire to learn and aptitude for problem solving and analysisPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Knowledge of European languages would be a plus
