The Ridings Medical Group is looking to recruit a newly qualified salaried GP to join our growing multi-disciplinary team. The post has been created via the ARRS PCN funding design and is an excellent opportunity for a new GP to join an established and experienced team.
This post is seen as a perfect opportunity to those new to starting life as a GP. It includes a dedicated mentor along with a reduced and controlled workload to allow the successful candidate time and support to develop as a fully qualified GP.
The Ridings Medical Group is a large training practice acting as a single PCN (River and Wolds PCN); it now looks after 48,000 patients. We operate across five sites giving us flexible working and a strong, diverse, clinical team. Anyone with enthusiasm, interests in teaching, the desire to progress their own development is very welcome to apply.
The working hours for this post would be 20-40 hours (4-8 clinical sessions) per week.
NB in keeping with the PCN ARRS guidelines, this is currently anoffer for a fixed term post with funding available until March 25 but it isanticipated this funding will continue after this date allowing review forcontinuing post.
Main duties of the jobMorning and evening surgeries.
Dictation for referrals - As necessary from patient contacts.
Electronic post and results -Allocation relating to GP patient contacts.
Patient visits One per session as a maximum, usually less.
Dispensary - Tasks related to patient contacts. Sign scripts in dispensary.
Informal post surgery discussion Encouraged and as needed with any experienced colleague.
Meetings: Significant Event Meetings, educational meetings, Salaried GP meets and social events. Clinical meetings option of remotely via MS Teams.
Medication Reviews.
Extended Hours/IA sessions shared on a pro rata basis across all practice/PCN staff.

We are a GMS dispensing practice and a training practice with Registrars, Medical Students, Nursing and MSK specialists.
