As a Treasury Financial Accountant, you will play a key role within the finance function of PTSB.
The successful candidate will be involved in the provision of financial and management accounting expertise along with involvement in some significant projects within the group.
This role will provide you with excellent opportunities to learn and progress both within the Finance function and the Group.
In addition, you will be expected to provide insightful analysis of performance and support key decision making by Business Managers.
Responsibilities: Ensure accuracy of the general ledger and seek improvements and efficiencies in the population of the general ledger.
Assist with the preparation and posting of month end journals.
Assist with coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data and the preparation of accurate financial reports on a timely basis such that all timelines are met.
Assist with interpreting the financial results for the PTSB group to management and recommending improvement activities.
Drive continuous improvement in the monthly close process and seek efficiencies within any manual processes.
Requirements: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
Strong appreciation of the importance of robust controls.
Self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to work on own initiative and an ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
Team focused displaying ability to work with others within and outside the team and a willingness to be flexible to assist in achieving the overall goals of the team.
Strong focus on attention to detail.
Enthusiastic, committed and proactive approach to problem solving.
Advanced Microsoft Excel.
This is a permanent position based in St. Stephens Green Dublin.
