ActavoPerson in Charge of Works (PICW) Engineer/Technical Cork Permanent PART 1: Role Details Role Title Person in Charge of Works (PICW) Department ESB Reports To Contracts Manager – Power Division Location ROI PART 2: Role Purpose The Person in charge of work (PICW) is a key members of the Project team.
The PICW is responsible for ensuring that the day's work allocated is completed safely, on time and to the standards required.
The successful candidate must be comfortable working with and leading a team.
The PICW must interface and co-operate with site management.

Ensuring you are responsible for yourself and/or team members who report into you Interfacing with linesmen within their team, site supervision and client representatives Ensure near miss and good catches are reported in a timely manner Work at height on poles and towers in a safe and professional manner Carry out maintenance, repair and refurbishment of Overhead lines as directed Ensure all work under your control is completed to client specification Ensure all daily work is completed as per daily work pack issued Complete post works checks before control of line is handed back to Network Operator PART 4: Person Specification Education/Qualifications Have all relevant Approvals / Certification Full Clean Driving license Experience Previous related experience required Skills & Competencies (evidence of) Technical Ability to read and understand Electrical Network Diagrams Interpersonal Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills required Business Skills Leadership Communication and Negotiation Personal Ability to climb wooden ESB poles / Steel Towers ACT 2
