Company: Our client is the Irish entity within a global 'blue chip' distribution business serving the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, human nutrition, animal nutrition, pet food and cosmetic sectors.
With a strong emphasis on quality and customer satisfaction, the Irish entity has been a key player in the local all-Ireland market since 1981.

In this role, you'll manage a diverse portfolio of accounts, including major multinational clients, while working with a wide range of excipients like lactose, colors, and amino acids, alongside APIs from top producers.
You'll collaborate with global suppliers and local teams to deliver tailored solutions and drive client relationships.
With strong support and a structured onboarding process, this position provides a solid foundation for growing your career in the pharmaceutical and commercial strategy space.
Responsibilities: * Manage and grow a portfolio of accounts.
* Build and maintain relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers in Ireland, including indigenous firms and foreign direct investment (FDI) operations.
* Promote and sell a wide range of products, including excipients and APIs.
* Develop a strong understanding of client needs and offer tailored solutions to drive growth and client satisfaction.
* Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure excellent client support and seamless service delivery.
* Gradually assume more responsibilities under the guidance of the MD and senior team members as part of the structured onboarding process.
* Represent the company in discussions with major global suppliers.
Candidate Requirements: * An educational background in Science/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related field, ideally with a solid understanding of excipients and APIs.
* 1–3 years of proven sales experience, ideally within the pharmaceutical or related industries.
* Demonstratable commercial acumen with the interest to develop the skill of translating technical product knowledge into client-focused solutions.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* A proactive, growth-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to a structured onboarding and gradual transition process.
* Familiarity with the pharmaceutical industry and its key players in Ireland is a plus.
Remuneration: Indicative base salary will be in the range of €40-50K plus car, bonus, pension and health insurance contribution.
The finer details will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
