Pharmacist - Short Term Contract

Servisource is working in partnership with a clinic in Galway for a Pharmacist on a short term contract till March 2025.
The individual in this position bears responsibility, accountability, and appropriate authority for delivering a high-quality service and ensuring the safety of patients. They will oversee the development, management, coordination, and provision of a pharmacy service in collaboration with the Pharmacy team.
Key Responsibilities:Conducting clinical reviews of prescribed medication orders for hospital patients and dispensing medications to both inpatients and outpatients in adherence to Galway Clinic hospital medication policies.Offering clinical medication advice to patients and healthcare professionals.Contributing to the teaching and training of students and staff as necessary.Providing pharmaceutical guidance to medical staff as issues arise within the Service.Participating in relevant committees if required.Ensuring the pharmaceutical service adequately meets the needs of service users and professional staff.Fostering positive relationships with colleagues within the Service.Maintaining high standards of work performance, appearance, attendance, and punctuality.Upholding strict confidentiality standards regarding work-related matters.Undertaking any additional duties as assigned.Participating in weekend rota as necessary.Contributing to the chemotherapy service provided by the pharmacy department to oncology patients, including compounding chemotherapy, clinically checking prescriptions, dispensing chemotherapy, conducting stock counts, billing, and other related tasks in the pharmacy chemotherapy compounding unit.Candidate Requirements:Holds a BSc (Pharm) or M Pharm degree and is registered with the PSI.Hospital experience preferred but not mandatory.Demonstrates clinical, leadership, managerial, and customer care skills.Capable of working effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and communicates proficiently with colleagues of all levels.If you are interested in this role please send your CV to Lauren at ****** and quoting job reference JO-2403-531783.
