Physicist, Chief (Radiotherapy) - Cork University Hospital

The person appointed to this post will work within Radiotherapy Physics as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering high quality radiation oncology services to the region of the South/South West Hospitals Group.

Radiotherapy Physics is expected to play an integral role in supporting clinical services through its excellent scientific and educational expertise.
A strong education and research ethos is evident in its contribution towards postgraduate courses and clinical research.

Purpose of the post:

To establish, lead, develop and manage the Radiotherapy Physics Department in Cork University Hospital.
Provide leadership to support the hospital group in meeting its legal requirements. To play a major role in the development and expansion of the radiation oncology service in the region in order to maintain state of the art treatments. To initiate and develop new projects within the department and hospital network. Provide a leadership role in education and training. Lead in the development of collaborative research and development activities in radiotherapy physics. Informal Enquiries:
