The Physiotherapy Service provides a service to all the specialties in CUH/CUMH & St. Finbarr's Hospital.
CUH is a regional centre for neurosurgery, plastic and burns, cardiothoracic surgery, haematology, cystic fibrosis and is the location for trauma orthopaedics in Cork.
CUH is the largest multi-specialty site in the country.

CUH physiotherapy department has a staff of over 70wte providing services across inpatients, outpatients & outreach.

Fiona Campbell is Physiotherapy Manager In-Charge III.
The deputy physiotherapy manager with responsibility for CUMH is Liz Barry.
Gay Castles is the other deputy manager.
There are clinical specialists in Respiratory, Neurology/ Neurosciences, Stroke, Rheumatology, Orthopaedic fracture clinic and Pelvic Health.
There are senior and rotational staff grade physiotherapists and 4 physiotherapy assistants.
There are 8-10 undergraduate physiotherapy students on site at any given time.

We provide a 7-day respiratory service.
We also provide a 7-day orthopaedic discharge & mobility service.

CUH Emergency Department is one of the biggest in the country & has a specific area dedicated to the GEMS service.

This post forms part of a multi-disciplinary team based within the ED in CUH.
This team consists of medical, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech & Language therapy, pharmacy, dietician, social work & nursing staff.
