The Platform Manager ensures that all aspects of cloud and operating system platform management, including development, deployment, and maintenance, are carried out effectively and align with the company's technology goals. The role requires a blend of technical prowess and managerial skills to facilitate collaboration between cross-functional teams and to drive the continuous improvement of IT services. The Platform Manager works closely with developers, operations staff, and security teams.
What is your role and your responsibilities? Oversee the development, security, and operation of IT systems to ensure all software components work together efficiently.Implement security measures within the software development process to protect sensitive data and prevent cyber-attacks.Collaborate with development and operations teams to create a seamless workflow and maintain an agile environment.Ensure continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes are followed, promoting the speedy release of high-quality software.Monitor and analyse system performance, addressing any issues or inefficiencies.Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in the Platform field to recommend improvements.Provide regular training and guidance to team members, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.Evaluate and select tools, frameworks, and platforms to support Platform responsibilities.Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices, such as CIS, GDPR and HIPAA.
