Polymer Apprentice

The Polymer Technology Apprentice will support the production / processing methods and controls to meet quality standards in the most efficient manner for new and existing moulding processes.
Key Responsibilities and End Results: (Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to the following):
To complete Polymer Technology Apprentice completing all phases both onsite and in classroom-based training with IBEC. Support qualified Polymer Technicians in performing precision work to exacting tolerances and dimensions. Troubleshoot equipment and process issues. Ensure completion and accuracy of required documentation in the manufacturing area from all operation team supporting injection moulding. Ensure tool set-up & changeover activities are optimised to meet production targets. Work both autonomously and cross functionally with Production, Operations, Engineering Support, Quality and Facilities. Observe all health and safety requirements including LOTO procedures and maintain any work area in a neat and orderly condition. Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives. Ensure ongoing compliance with GMP in all practices, recording of events and processes. Ensure compliance with all learnings from all GMP training events Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the department/position. Job Specifications : The minimum education and experience required to perform this job competently.
Leaving Certificate and/or ETB approved pre apprenticeship course Skills/Attributes: Good manual dexterity A meticulous attention to detail A basic level in computer literacy An enthusiastic approach to learning Ideally some experience in metal work
