Summary of role: The Credit Portfolio Management Unit in Capital Markets and Climate Capital (AIB) is responsible for providing independent oversight of the credit portfolio with regards to credit management standards and monitoring and oversight in relation to Data Governance.
A Level 2 opportunity exists within the Portfolio team to enhance the suite of credit portfolio reports across Capital Markets and Climate Capital, requiring engagement with internal stakeholders to deliver the required level of portfolio insights.
Key Responsibilities: Analysing and interpreting data to provide business/financial insights into patterns and trends and identifying opportunities to improve overall portfolio performance.Conduct analysis of trends, key performance indicators and generation of insight reports to support the teams within Capital Markets and Climate Capital.Supporting the delivery of Regulatory Reporting in relation to the various Capital Markets and Climate Capital portfolios including ad hoc requests, on-site inspections and monthly reporting.Supporting projects/initiatives, as required and represent the team at required forums.Support the delivery of a strong Data Governance agenda across Capital Markets and Climate Capital, including reviewing data scorecards, discussing data issues, identifying data solutions to ensure that Data in Capital Markets and Climate Capital is managed appropriately and meets the needs of the organisation and other stakeholders.AIB Brand Values: It is a given that the role holder will be a strong role model of the AIB Values: Be One Team, Own the Outcome, Drive Progress, Show Respect and Eliminate Complexity.

Minimum Requirements: Experience in data or portfolio analytics in Banking/Financial Services.Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating interpersonal skills and experience of building and maintaining working relationships.Knowledge in data extraction, analytical review, interpretation and building business reports using the data warehouse as well as experience of SQL and VBA or other data presentation tools.Demonstrable knowledge of application of data interpretation and other analytical techniques to the measurement and management of risk/credit (e.g. experience of SQL &/or Qlikview).Qualifications in Risk management, Data Analysis, Finance or other appropriate quantitative discipline is preferable.As part of the selection process, the successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate the AIB Behaviours and ability in the Behavioural and Technical Capabilities reflected below.
