Zurich Insurance Europe AG are hiring for the position of Portfolio & Analytics Manager. As a senior member of the EMEA Underwriting Portfolio Management team, you will influence and support the development of our Portfolio Management capabilities to improve our overall portfolio strength and underwriting performance.
You will provide appropriate, timely and actionable market and portfolio analysis on portfolio trends to monitor the execution of the Underwriting strategy in EMEA and improve underwriting performance by identifying material performance drivers and informing effectively to your stakeholders.
You will support the EMEA Line of Business Heads, EMEA Pricing and Business Units in the execution of the underwriting strategy, identifying emerging issues and opportunities for growth or change.
You will support our ambition to be an insights-led organization using enriched data as a competitive edge to improve our portfolio management capabilities and strategically steer our portfolios.
This role is being offered on a 12 Month FTC.
Your RoleAs a Portfolio & Analytics Manager, your main responsibilities will include, and not necessarily be limited to, the following:
Provide specific analytical support to the EMEA Underwriting function, working with minimal supervision, and exercising independent judgmentInfluence the development of our portfolio management capabilities, including both analytical techniques and effective communication, driving continuous improvements to support increased underwriting profit. Support and coach analysts within direct and supporting Underwriting teams, including the EMEA Bratislava Analytics Team, utilising their capabilities and sharing best practice to support analysis across the RegionIndependently engage with BUs, wider EMEA Underwriting stakeholders and other functions across EMEA, supporting alignment on priorities and insightMonitor internal and market Underwriting Key Performance indicators, identify trends and provide timely commentary on Underwriting performance, enabling regular review/discussion of reports/analysis with the Underwriting Leadership team and BUsDeliver both regular and ad-hoc analysis (including "deep dives"), providing data informed recommendations that support business performance whilst considering good customer outcomes and sustainability considerationsResearch and integrate potential sources of internal (outside of Underwriting) and external data to enrich existing datasets and provide market-leading insights Contribute to the development of the EMEA Underwriting strategyLeverage scale of EMEA Regional data and available external data to unlock cross-country insights, trends & leading indicators which can be corroborated & further developed with BUs & other functionsYour Skills & ExperienceAs a Portfolio & Analytics Manager your skills and qualifications will include:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics or similar disciplineFive or more years of experience in related fieldAdditional InformationPrimary work location is IFSC based but occasional travel may be required to other Zurich locations.
