Sun Life US is building out its automation capabilities by expanding the Digital Enablement team to identify, build/assemble, deploy, and support low-code automations using Power Platform. This role will be a technical leader for our Power Platform activities as we automate manual & repetitive tasks, improve client experiences, and enable our employees to focus on higher-value activities.
Job Description Lead Power Platform technical development and be the technical subject matter expert for Sun Life US Power Platform project deliveryLead technical delivery activities across different product Power Platform with a focus on Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power PagesAssume ownership of project deliverables and be responsible for the technical quality of the team's outputAs Tech Lead, ensure adherence to standards based on established patterns and best practices and contribute to enhancing Sun Life's own Automation and Power Platform best practicesHave hands-on input to project selection, planning, design, estimation, development, and implementation of Sun Life US Power Platform solutions, working with development teams as well as directly with internal stakeholder customersLiaise directly with internal customers to gather/refine requirements and Sun Life Architecture to deliver preferred solutionsAssist in driving the adoption of solutions which utilize Power Platform and provide technical advice & guidance to Leadership teams and colleaguesRequired Skills & Experience Demonstrable project experience developing solutions using Power Platform - Power Apps & Power Automate specificallyDevelopment experience using Microsoft stack (.NET/C#/TypeScript/SQL Server)Experience in implementing and using a variety of data stores (SQL/SharePoint/Lists and 3rd party databases)Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with APIs or third-party solutionsExperience working with Application Lifecycle Management strategies for Power Platform in regulated environmentsExperience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira for backlog/progress trackingComprehensive understanding of Non-Functional Requirements in an Automation settingDemonstrable experience as a Tech Team Lead managing technical resourcesExcellent customer service and communication skillsDesirable Additional skills Prior experience working in Insurance or other large Financial Services organizationsExperience working in a matrix organization with multiple reporting lines and colleagues working office, remote & hybrid scenarios and from different geographies (North America, EU & Asia)Experience with test strategies and tools for Power Platform solutionsExperience with the wider Microsoft 365 platform including SharePoint, Forms, TeamsAdditional Information Location: This role can be onsite at our Waterford office location or delivered via hybrid workingJob Category:
