Practice Accountant

GPC Finance is recruiting for an established 3 partner firm with their HQ in Galway. They are currently expanding their practice and seeking an experienced Practice Accountant to join their growing team. The successful Practice Accountant will collaborate closely with the firm's Partners to deliver comprehensive accounting services to a diverse portfolio of clients, primarily within the SME sector.
Duties and Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of SME clients in the provision of accounting services such as audit exemption and audited financial statements preparation.Utilise a team of trainee accountants to deliver services, delegating and managing the workload.Consistently improving and innovating to maintain a continuous improvement culture.Prepare and file annual returns and abridged accounts with the CRO.Prepare and file Corporation Tax and Income Tax returns with Revenue.Prepare and file VAT and Payroll returns.Maintain books and records for bookkeeping/advisory clients.Prepare and present monthly/quarterly management accounts to clients and provide valuable insights from these accounts.Education, Experience and Skills Ideally 2+ years in practiceRecently qualified ACCA/ACA/CPAAbility to work to tight deadlines and juggle multiple tasks.Problem solving attitude.Curious nature and a wish to find better solutions.Tech savvy and ability to adapt to using a variety of technologies.Salary & Benefits Excellent Career progression with a clear structure.Flexible working environment.Bike to Work scheme.Joining a warm and friendly work environment.If you are a Practice Accountant considering a career move, please send your CV or contact Marc Palecpec for a confidential discussion.
