ATG are seeking an experienced and innovative Precast Design Engineer to join a North Dublin-based engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and detailing precast concrete elements for a variety of construction projects, including commercial, residential, and infrastructure developments.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural design, with specific experience in precast concrete, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams to deliver high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective solutions.
Responsibilities: Develop detailed designs and specifications for precast concrete elements, ensuring structural integrity, durability, and compliance with local building codes.Create and review technical drawings, models, and design documents using CAD software and BIM tools.Coordinate closely with architects, contractors, and project stakeholders to integrate precast designs into overall project plans.Conduct structural analysis and calculations to ensure design meets project requirements and safety standards.Provide technical guidance and support to production teams during the manufacturing process.Conduct site visits to assess design implementation and address any technical issues.Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to optimize design efficiency, reduce costs, and improve sustainability.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred).2+ years of experience in precast design and structural engineering.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, Tekla, or similar).Strong knowledge of building codes, structural design principles, and best practices for precast concrete.Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify innovative and practical design solutions.Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a collaborative approach to project delivery.Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards in design and execution.
