The Industrial Connectivity and Control BU are seeking a motivated and creative principal Analog Design Engineer to join our team developing Industry 4.0 leading silicon solutions to drive growth in our global Business. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team in Limerick with excellent opportunities to work on leading edge development in Industrial automation. Our diverse portfolio of products encompassing Industrial communication (eg Ethernet Phys and switches, IO-Link, HBS,..) with configurable measurement and control (precision Analog and Digital I/O), which operate in harsh high voltage industrial domains and facilitates a wide variation of skill development and technology node experience. This position will afford the successful candidate the opportunity to lead the development of large silicon systems working across multidisciplinary cross-functional teams including Digital Design, Verification, Layout, Test, Bench Evaluation and Applications. This is a senior level, hands-on, technical leadership position giving the opportunity to have great impact and influence on the ICC team's future direction.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Lead project development teams, providing technical leadership while developing innovative communications and connectivity products for the industrial market and shaping a culture of excellence and on-time delivery through mentorship, example, and direction.Opportunity to participate/lead in all aspects of product development fromCustomer interaction during initial product concept definition understanding and disseminating customer system needs versus wants.Liaising with applications, architects on defining product concepts to fulfill customer requirements.Exercise your expertise in mixed signal design concepts/techniques to translate customer requirement into a solution architecture with block level specification.Plan, guide and review the implementation, verification of design pre-silicon.Collaborate with colleagues across Test, Evaluation and Qual to validate and qualify the functionality of silicon through to product release and ensure the manufacturability of high-quality products.Responding as needed to apps/customers queries, helping overcome technical challenges they face.Identification of emerging technical advancements in process development, architecture, and circuit innovation with the objective of integrating into ICC group knowledge base.Grow strong technical networks across ADI, represent and participate in internal technical conferences.Minimum qualifications: BEng + 10 Years Experience of IC development.Strong fundamentals in analog and mixed-signal design, tools, and flows.Design experience with circuits such as amplifiers, DACs, ADCs, bandgaps, bias circuits, LDOs.Experience coordinating/directing Layout, verification, evaluation, and debug of silicon.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead investigations into new solutions.Strong inter-personal, teamwork and communication skills are required.Motivated, results-oriented.Innovative mindset with willingness to explore and develop.Experience in mentoring/guiding and directing less experienced Engineers.Preferred Qualifications: Experience of Leading Mixed Signal IC development is preferred.Experience in HV circuit design is highly valued.Familiarity with communication protocol such as Ethernet Phy and IO-Link, valuable.Knowledge of EMC standards and design methodologies advantageous.#LI-CC1
