Role Overview: As the Principal Developer (at JustTip, you will be responsible for leading our technology strategy, driving innovation, and overseeing the development and execution of our technical roadmap.

You will work closely with the executive team to align technology initiatives with business objectives, ensuring JustTip remains at the forefront of technological advancement in the hospitality and fintech industries.

Key Responsibilities: Technology Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with JustTip's business goals and market trends.
Product Development: Lead the development of innovative features and functionalities for the JustTip platform, driving continuous improvement and enhancing the user experience.
Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and innovation.
Scalability and Performance: Design scalable and reliable systems to support JustTip's growth trajectory, ensuring high performance and uptime.
Security and Compliance: Implement robust security measures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, safeguarding user data and privacy.
Partnerships and Integrations: Collaborate with the executive team to identify and manage strategic partnerships and integrations.
Research and Development: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, conducting research and experiments to maintain JustTip's competitive edge.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and operations, to deliver integrated solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives.
Budget and Resource Management: Manage the technology budget and resources effectively, optimising investments to maximise ROI and achieve strategic goals.
Communication and Reporting: Communicate technical vision, progress, and challenges effectively to the executive team, board of directors, and other stakeholders, fostering transparency and alignment.
Qualifications: A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
A proven track record of leadership in technology roles with at least five years of experience in software development and engineering management.
Extensive experience with modern software development methodologies, tools, and technologies, including cloud computing, microservices architecture, DevOps practices, and agile development.
Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and vice versa.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and build consensus around technical decisions.
Demonstrated ability to attract, retain, and develop top engineering talent, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.
Experience in the service industry or related domains is desirable but not required.
