This will be a hybrid role with 2 days working onsite (Cork City Centre), and 3 days working at home per week. ResponsibilitiesYour role in our team Design and develop secure, reliable, and scalable solutions for a globally distributed FinTech application using the latest technologies (there is an expectation of hands-on software engineering)Provide technical leadership to the engineering and product teamsWork closely with our engineering and product teams to create a culture of excellence and continuous improvementAct as a subject matter expert in specific domains or technologiesResearch, create and evaluate technical solution alternatives for the business needs using current and upcoming technologies and frameworksJob requirementsAbout You: 6+ years' professional experience with Java, ideally using Spring Boot and GradleCollaborator – share ideas, documentation, and leading practiceConceptual thinker – ability to extract, analyse, and document complex business and technical requirements/strategiesExperience architecting and implementing large-scale enterprise applicationsStrong knowledge of OOP and REST design principlesExperience working with core AWS technologies - EC2, S3, RDS, LambdaExperience with cloud-native technologies such as containers (ECS, EKS) and serverless computingExperience in leading projects, mentoring junior team members, and doing code reviews with the teamExperience with functional and non-functional aspects of Software ArchitectureExcellent interpersonal, organisational, team building, data gathering, analytical, and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills to effectively communicate complicated subjects to both technical and non-technical audiencesWhat else you could bring (beneficial) Previous experience working with or delivering SaaS solutions and productsExperience working with some of the following technologies: Docker, Redis, KafkaSignificant experience with database technologies such as MySQL, including schema design, query optimisation and SQL*** Candidates must be based in Ireland to be considered for this role and must hold an EU Passport or Stamp 4 to be considered for this position *** We strive to create a place where all feel safe, empowered, engaged, championed, and inspired.
