Minimum Requirements: A relevant third-level degree (Level 8 or higher) Over 6 years of post-qualification experience, primarily in ecology roles within planning or environmental consultancy Membership in the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) Proven track record in delivering EIAR, NIS, EcIA, and AA reports Expertise in leading and coordinating EIA projects for major infrastructure initiatives, including all EIA stages Proficiency in marine EIA technical areas such as aquatic ecology, marine ecology, ornithology, and commercial fisheries Experience with freshwater and marine consent management, compliance, and related technical assessments Strong skills in liaising with statutory consultees and crafting environmental mitigation proposals Comprehensive understanding of consent and licensing frameworks for terrestrial and offshore infrastructure in Ireland Exceptional technical report writing, planning, project management, and leadership skills Desirable: Postgraduate qualifications (Master's or Doctorate) Chartered status with a professional body such as CIEEM Experience in large-scale freshwater, wastewater, and marine infrastructure projects Skills in tender preparation and client relationship management A full clean driver's license and access to a vehicle for survey travel are essential.
