As a Senior Principal Engineer – Process Automation, you will provide technical leadership and expertise in automation to support manufacturing operations.
This role involves mentoring a team of engineers, designing automation solutions, ensuring compliance with GMP and safety guidelines, and driving continuous improvement in pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor process automation engineers.Design and implement automation solutions, including DCS, PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.Manage process control system changes, execute Computer System Validation (CSV) activities, and resolve automation-related issues.Identify opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement.Support troubleshooting and maintenance of automation systems.Provide technical oversight on engineering projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Research and implement new control strategies and technologies.What We're Looking For: Degree in Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related field.7+ years of experience in configuring and troubleshooting automation systems (e.g., DeltaV, Siemens, OSI PI).Experience in mentoring and providing technical guidance.Strong skills in communication, teamwork, and project management.Knowledge of GMP and regulated environments.Additional Preferences: Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (e.g., Syncade).Expertise in change control, deviation processes, and storage/retrieval systems.
