About This Job Ensure compliance of manufacturing operations with relevant regulations and standards associated with cGMP including data integrity, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Health & Safety Legislation and Environmental Legislation.
Timely and comprehensive reporting of all hazardous occurrences, incidents, deviations & abnormal occurrences.
Ensure compliance of environmental & utility operations with all site standards, policies, and procedures.
Ensure that the equipment and systems in the environmental & utility area are operated to optimum efficiency.
Operate and closely monitor the operations of this equipment in accordance with relevant procedures.
Carry out the required monitoring and operation on the site's Purified Water plants in accordance with site procedures and regulatory requirements.
This equipment (as above) and the relevant systems should be operated in such a way as to provide the optimum support to production plant activities.
Carry out testing on environmental samples (as relevant) in accordance with site procedures and IPPCL requirements.
Take and prepare samples for delivery to assigned offsite laboratory.
Take and prepare samples as required for relevant external bodies.
Transfer waste solvents from site storage facilities to road tankers in line with the required procedures.
Promptly respond to system generated alarms and follow up on the required actions to minimise any potential impacts on system availability or associated operations.
Support and actively contribute to Root Cause Analysis investigations in relation to the role and as directed by the Production Team Leader (Env).
Ensure that all work areas are kept in a clean and tidy condition.
Actively participate in training programmes and initiatives as directed by the Production Team Leader (Env).
Carry out minor repairs to equipment where possible and as authorised.
Participate in the preparation, periodic review and update of Environmental/Utility SOPs or related documentation as directed by the Production Team Leader (Env).
Complete assigned LMS training items in line with target completion dates.
Participate in site projects e.g., HAZOP reviews, as directed by the Production Team Leader (Env).
Perform the required duties of other operational areas (provided you are trained to do so) assigned to such as Warehouse & Materials Management and Production.
Put forward ideas for improvements in efficiencies, operations, and procedures to the Team Leader.
Other issues as directed by the Production Team Leader (Env) and /or Senior Environmental Operator.
Essential Knowledge & Experience Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
Previous experience in a similar role or possess transferable skills related to the role.This position is based in Environmental Operations department Dublin and will require on-site work circa 40hrs per week.
In addition, the candidate must be willing to work additional hours and/or travel as required by the business.
Shift work may be required in the future depending on site demands.
