Process Technician The position requires a Process Technician to work in the company's European Manufacturing, Distribution and Customer Service hub, in Athenry or designated location.
Responsibilities include:Provide strong technical support on process/product technologies to support production dealing with high volume automated equipment.Daily set up of automation machinery alongside process monitoring ensuring minimal downtime.Root cause and problem solve production issues for Manufacturing Equipment.Be a key player in resolving yield issues (e.g. determining root cause, implementing corrective action, and preventative action).Take responsibility for preventative maintenance procedures with an assigned process or area.Perform equipment qualifications and validations, including report writing.Assist in the revision of Work Instructions, SOP's and other documentation as appropriate.Continuous improvement focus. Demonstrating knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies.Demonstrate knowledge and application of Lean methodologies.Contribute and partake in Continuous Improvement projects to drive improvements in quality, service and cost.Interface with a variety of company personnel and with outside vendors when required.Demonstrates a primary commitment to H&S and product quality within the manufacturing environment.Understands and complies with all the regulations governing the quality systems.Performs other related duties as assigned.Reports to the Engineering Technical Lead.Requirements:A degree in a relevant engineering subject is essential or diploma with relevant additional industrial experience.Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a Manufacturing Medical Device environment required.Experience of working on Automated Processes essential.Proven experience of strong technical skills and follows a structured approach in problem solving.Proven ability to work well both as part of a team but also able to work on own.
