Process Technician Our Client, a large medical device company based in Galway, is currently looking for a Process Technician to join the Stent Delivery Catheter Production Unit. The Production Unit builds Drug Eluting Stent delivery systems for treating cardiovascular disease caused by narrowed or blocked arteries around the heart.
The successful candidate will get the opportunity to be trained and work in a fast-paced cleanroom environment with high levels of automated machines. In this role, you will work as part of a team consisting of members from various functions.
Job Purpose: Part of the Core Team to respond to equipment, yield and process-related issues, implementing corrective and preventative actions to eliminate repeat instances.Within this role you will: Work with Manufacturing Engineers in developing, troubleshooting, standardizing, and improving existing production methods and procedures.Maintain a critical spares inventory for key maintenance items to minimize downtime.Assist Manufacturing Engineers in investigating and implementing new production methods.Assist Manufacturing Engineers in design methods, part sourcing, and documentation.Perform equipment qualifications and validations, including report writing.Design, specify, manufacture, test, and document production equipment, changes, and improvements.Interface with a variety of personnel and with outside vendors when necessary while performing the above.Take responsibility for preventative maintenance procedures with an assigned process or area.Communicate any concerns about work processes regarding environmental impact, health, or safety issues to their Manager.What we need from you: HETAC Level 6 (120 Credits) qualification in a relevant area with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.Medical Device Manufacturing experience is highly desirable.Good technical capabilities, communication skills, teamwork abilities, and initiative.Proven ability to work well both as part of a team and independently with minimum supervision.
