Job Title: Procurement Specialist Job Overview CLS, a leading contract laboratory company, is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage our supply chain operations.
This role will be responsible for sourcing high-quality materials, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely deliveries of laboratory equipment and supplies as well as The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining cost-effective and efficient procurement processes, essential to supporting our lab services and operations.
This role will report to the Director of Operations Responsibilities Source and procure laboratory equipment, materials, and services from vendors. Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to ensure best value and quality for CLS. Maintain relationships with suppliers and manage performance reviews. Track inventory levels and coordinate timely deliveries to avoid supply shortages. Collaborate with internal departments to understand material needs and specifications. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, budgets, and quality standards. Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement documentation. Monitor market trends and develop strategies for cost savings. Report on procurement metrics and provide regular updates to management. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally in the laboratory, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry. Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage vendor relationships. Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques, as well as a good understanding of market dynamics. Familiarity with procurement software and systems. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Who you are You are detail-oriented and resourceful, with a passion for driving efficiency in procurement processes.
You are confident in negotiating and have a natural ability to build strong supplier relationships.
