Procurement Associate Asset Recruitment is proud to present this exciting opportunity for a Procurement Specialist with our client, a leading multinational Pharmaceutical company. The primary responsibility for this role involves supporting the site's strategic projects and the operational objectives. Your role ensures the establishment of secure procedures and processes aligning with the company's manufacturing sites' current operating plans.
Key responsibilities encompass managing categories such as IFM/Utilities, Direct Materials/Components, Capital Equipment, MRO, Laboratory and Automation, IT and Business services. You will support senior functional and operational stakeholders to develop and implement global supply and sourcing strategies. Your focus will be on supporting the Manufacturing Division's strategic imperatives, encompassing stability, responsiveness, capacity building, and fostering innovation. The role demands planning and conducting negotiations, leading RFx for goods and services within the scope.
Work location: the role is based in Dunboyne, Co. Meath, with a hybrid work arrangement, requiring 3 days on-site.
Responsibilities – Managing indirect and direct procurement categories, strategic sourcing, supplier selection, negotiations, and leveraging above-site contracts
– Building and nurturing relationships with senior stakeholders to support supply, drive changes, understand site priorities, and align on procurement-driven projects
– Strategic supplier relationship management to align with SSC Category targets and drive continuous improvement across various aspects
– Implementing globally cascaded projects, overseeing supplier transitions, and managing project deadlines while aligning with the site's needs
– Engaging, obtaining sponsorship, and influencing senior stakeholders, showcasing the value proposition of procurement
– Acting as a change agent, demonstrating the value brought by the procurement function and setting a leadership example
– Developing and achieving objectives and targets within respective categories, including profit plans, savings forecasts, and contract compliance
– Developing end-to-end risk management and performance improvement strategies
– Supporting diversity initiatives within the company, expanding relationships with diverse SME suppliers
Requirements – A BS/BA degree in Engineering/Supply Chain or Business (MBA or CPM/supply chain certification preferred).
– Must have experience setting up supply agreements for Indirect Services. Also, will need to have the ability to take on projects Indirect/Direct/Capital.
– 5-7 years' experience in manufacturing/supply chain/procurement for manufacturing sites
– 3-5 years' Procurement experience, including setting up and managing supplier contracts.
– Strong leadership, collaboration, problem-solving, and conflict management skills.
– Proficiency in strategic stakeholder relationship management, supplier relationship management, project management, cost optimization, negotiations, and contract management.
