The CompanyOhshima Ireland is currently seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our growing team based in our facility in Shannon, Co. Clare. This organisation has worldwide expertise but also a local presence within our specialized field. This will be a key role in the company and requires someone coming from a fast-paced multi-national company background.Core ResponsibilitiesManage procurement of non-stock orders, ensuring alignment with budget constraints, customer requirements, and factory needs; determine optimal quantity, type, range, and quality of goods or services required.Manage the expediting of purchase orders, coordinating timely delivery to meet lead times for both direct and indirect PO's.Monitor and manage MRP data, ensuring precise alignment of purchase orders with delivery schedulesLead quotation processes for non-stock requirements, negotiating optimal pricing and terms to benefit the organisation.Ensure prompt issuance and placement of purchase orders, proactively managing supplier relationships to guarantee on-time deliveriesMaintain and support accurate master data within the Access Supply Chain system, ensuring data integrity for efficient operations.Provide strategic support to the purchasing team on daily tasks and operational priorities as required.Serve as a key resource for the procurement team, stepping in to cover responsibilities as needed to maintain continuity and support Qualifications A relevant qualification in business administration, supply chain management, or procurement (Diploma/Degree preferred). Technical Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, OutlookExperience with procurement or ERP software is beneficialExcellent data management skills and attention to detail.
