About the role: Connexus UK are delighted to be working with our Monaghan based client, a leading name in the food industry.
They are renowned for their commitment to delivering high-quality and delicious products to their customers, with a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
They are now seeking a dynamic Production Manager to join their team and in an exciting period of growth.
The Role: As the Production Manager, you will be a key player in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of food production lines.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will lead a dedicated team within a GMP environment, driving the Lean vision and ensuring we meet operational targets.
Your role will be critical in maintaining the companies reputation for quality and safety, while also fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Management: Lead and support the Production team to efficiently execute the food production plan.
Provide clear direction and feedback to the Supervisory group, ensuring they are aligned with our goals and committed to excellence.
Team Development: Oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, training, performance management, and career development.
Inspire and coach your team to reach their full potential, ensuring they have the skills needed to succeed in the food industry.
Continuous Improvement: Champion a Lean strategy, promoting a proactive approach to solving problems and optimizing processes.
Create an environment where the team continuously strives for improvement in food safety, quality, and efficiency.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to food industry standards such as BRC, Bord Bia, and all relevant Health & Safety regulations.
Work closely with the H&S department to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
Audit Management: Take ownership of audits within production, guiding your team to deliver outstanding results and implementing feedback to drive continuous improvement.
About You: 3 to 5 years of experience managing a team in the food production industry.
A degree qualification in food science, engineering, or a related field, or significant practical experience in a similar role.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop people in a food production setting.
Strong attention to detail, particularly in relation to food safety and quality.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to apply Lean/Continuous Improvement techniques in a food production environment.
Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Flexible with working hours/shifts to accommodate production schedules.
Comprehensive knowledge of BRC, HACCP, and other industry standards is highly preferred.
