Jabil EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) Ireland, Blanchardstown Dublin 15, are recruiting for experienced Production Planner.
JOB SUMMARY: Production Planner is responsible to serve as the customer interface for the demand plan and shipment information, develop feasible operational plan and maintain ownership over the execution of the operational plan, achieve the objective of customer satisfaction, minimize Jabil liability and continuously improve the performance of the planning metrics, supports all planning activities for the dedicated assigned Workcell and liaises with the Buyers to coordinate and expediate the flow of materials between departments according to forecast, daily and weekly production schedules.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supports the Master Planner in developing a Master Production Schedule (MPS) to maximise operation capacity and attaining stock levels.Completion of status reports to monitor production progress and ensure customer orders are meeting the targeted completion times, customer demand changes and materials availability.Assisting coordination of delivery of materials to meet the production schedule.Support new product development introduction, with effective demand and supply planning.Coordinates the production workflow for one or multiple products.Supports the coordination of the production schedule for the execution of production orders across the site and ensuring customer priorities are optimized.Assists with the creation of production schedules with a focus on minimizing downtime whilst meeting company and customer target inventory levels.Assists with and coordinates continuous improvement projects.Evaluates customer forecast and enter information into ERP system while maintaining data integrity.Supports and coordinates maintaining a feasible production plan and closely work with Master Planner and operations team to achieve successful execution of the plan.Analyses, plan and release production orders to manufacturing while verifying materials and equipment required for production are available.Schedules, expedite and coordinate the delivery and movement of critical material, including material transfers and material releases.Work effectively with multiple departments to meet customer SLA.Interfaces with Line Leads, Material Handlers and Buyers to resolve concerns regarding schedules, part shortages, expediates etc.Supports with key planning metrics and to ensure they are achieved and maintained e.g., OTD, Inventory, (WIP & DII).Coordinate and supports Jabil purge process for internal Work cell purges.Reports on Excess & obsolescence material and create action to reduce value on weekly/monthly basis.Adhere to policy and procedures for Quality.Adheres to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.Complies and follow all procedures within the company security policy.JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential criteria Primary degree in a relevant discipline (Business, Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Operations Management). May substitute experience in lieu of educational requirements.Minimum level Material Handler II.1-2 years experience working in a materials Role or Inventory Control.Analytical skills and ability to make data-based decisions.IT Skills (intermediate to advanced excel skills / MRP/ ERP system experience).Desired criteria Experience in electronic manufacturing environment is highly desirable.Experience in leading process improvements / lean manufacturing activities in a manufacturing environment.Skills and abilities: Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross functional teams.Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.Strong planning & organisational skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in the English language is a requirement alongside eligibility to work in Ireland.Proven ability to meet deadlines.A "can do" work ethic with excellent problem-solving skills.
