Production Planner / Supply Chain Support

Our Client, a full service global supplier of innovative and sustainable plastic packaging solutions in Limerick, are currently seeking a Production Planner  to join their team.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the successful candidate will plan and schedule all production processes to ensure customer demand is fulfilled on time and in full, highlight potential bottlenecks quickly to ensure corrective measures are implemented.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Co-ordinate production process for multiple products.
Plan and Prioritise operations to maximise performance and minimise delays.
Co-ordinate with managers on changes on the production lines.
Liaise with Sales, Logistics, and operations for production requirements.
Monitor inventory flow for shortages/bottlenecks.
Develop production schedules to satisfy demand in line with plant capacity and sales forecasts.
Manage production deadlines and provide production status updates.
Maintain MRP functions within the systems.
Support Supply Chain Manager to maintain operations KPI's Escalate issues in a timely manner.
Prepare and Maintain forecasting and planning reports.
Collaborate with consultants for IT Support.
Participate in relevant improvement projects.
Support Supply Chain Manger with supply chain activities.
Administrative tasks.
Degree in Business or equivalent Experience in production planning in manufacturing industry desirable.
Analytical and Mathematical skills Excellent organisational and time management skills Critical thinking and Problem-solving skills Effective communication skills Experience in SAP desirable Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: excel, power point, word etc.
Ability to co-ordinate planning schedules to meet customer demands on time and in full Work as part of team to enhance production performance and minimise risks.
Facilitate relevant production meetings.
Solid written and spoken English skills.
Attention to detail in completing tasks in a proficient and timely manner.
Escalate potential issues to management quickly.
