Reporting to the Production Manager, the shift supervisor will supervise and drive production activities in order to optimise the overall plant performance.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise team to ensure delivery on key manufacturing metrics i.e.
plant efficiencies, production volume, NPD etc.
while adhering to relevant safety, environmental, production and technical standards.Direct and organize the daily work activities to meet operational, manning and inter-departmental cross functional requirements.Identify areas and develop options that will continue to improve on efficiencies across all operational activities.Manage activities during out-of-hours periods on a dynamic 24/7 manufacturing site including fire team leader.Update and inform the Production Manager of production activities, employee performance and work practices.Lead, motivate and develop staff in a manner that will drive excellence aligned to the company's policies and strategic plan i.e.
PMED's, IR and ER, Operation excellence.Maintain effective communication within the team and across departments.Ensure exemplary standards of plant cleanliness and housekeeping are maintained in the workplace.Typical Qualifications, Knowledge, ExperienceThird level qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience in a highly automated manufacturing environment.Previous supervisory experience while operating in a manufacturing environment.A strong track record in team leadership and people motivation is essential.Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills required.Ability to lead, empower and motivate staff to ensure KPIs are achieved.Self-motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to work on one's own initiative.Experience of using Lean Tools and problem-solving techniques; Green Belt desirable.Qualification in Supervisory Management would be an advantage.To apply, please send CV and Cover Letter to: ****** with Product Shift Supervisor in the subject line.
