We are looking for an experienced MRF Plant Production Supervisor to join our team and oversee the daily operations of a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF).

As the MRF Plant Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising personnel, ensuring smooth plant operations, optimising productivity, and maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.
Key Responsibilities * Provide daily supervision of MRF personnel, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
* Act as the main reporting line for all MRF staff, ensuring clear communication and alignment on daily goals.
* Identify and implement best practices to maximise production output and improve operational efficiency in the MRF and yard.
* Regularly review performance data and lead the team to achieve KPI targets.
* Work closely with the MRF Manager to develop effective work schedules and cover for annual leave.
* Oversee daily operations, including staffing levels, material handling, and production targets.
Ensure optimal use of resources, such as fuel and staffing hours, while maintaining adherence to the 5S methodology.
* Ensure incoming loads meet quality standards for processing and address contamination issues promptly.
* Manage the efficient and compliant handling, separation, and delivery of waste materials to appropriate outlets, ensuring that pre-sorting is carried out effectively.
* Monitor revenue and cost-control measures, including weighbridge traffic, diesel usage, and waste categorisation.
* Implement and manage a thorough maintenance programme for all fixed and mobile equipment, ensuring daily cleaning and upkeep tasks are completed and coordinating with maintenance teams for preventive maintenance activities.
* Ensure all personnel are trained and adhere strictly to Health & Safety guidelines.
* Address safety concerns or issues promptly to uphold a safe working environment.
Qualifications and Requirements * Proven supervisory experience in a production or waste management environment.
* Experience managing teams in a labour-intensive, multi-shift operation.
* Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff.
* Familiarity with operating and maintaining MRF equipment and mobile plant machinery.
* This is a site-based role, requiring hands-on management and a proactive approach.
