Production Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Supervisor who should have a good working knowledge of all processes of the manufacturing line and will work in a leadership role supporting the Manufacturing Manager. This role requires the ability to lead and motivate a group of production operators to meet the company's goals in terms of quality, schedule, yield, and productivity according to procedure.

This role can be available in morning or afternoon shift:

Morning shift working hours: 6:45 am to 2:45 pm Monday – Thursday, 6:45 am to 1:45 pm Fridays. Evening shift working hours: 3.15 pm to 11.15 pm Monday – Thursday, 2.15 pm to 9.15 pm Fridays. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for managing the end-to-end process, reacting to yield and quality issues as they occur and pro-actively addressing potential issues. Also responsible for ensuring the line performance is optimized throughout the shift. This will include safety, quality, yield, throughput, material supply and people etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage production performance ensuring all site Safety, Quality, Productivity, Lean, Cost objectives are clearly understood and communicated to the team. Participate at the daily handover meetings and ensure detailed communication across shifts of production status and priorities, any ongoing issues, and any potential request for support. Communicate with the team by delivering shift briefs with focus on safety, quality, cost, delivery, and supporting kaizen blitz ideas for improvement. Lead and motivate a team of people to succeed by utilising appropriate interpersonal styles including leading by example, setting objectives, and defining responsibilities to give a clear sense of direction. Organise production workflow and ensure employees understand their duties/tasks. Highlight performance and training issues as appropriate to maximise performance of all employees, while ensuring cross training and flexibility of staff to support changes in production priorities, especially during peak periods. Liaise with planning to execute plan, manage overtime to ensure agreed schedules can be executed in full. Audits material kits, issues material to the line, reports scrap and maintains clean and organized work area. Support and promote continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities, including the implementation of 5S activities and standards. Able to identify and develop potential operators in handling the right equipment at the right time and motivate operators for increased throughput, quality, and efficiency. Monitor production support systems and ensure consistent implementation in the production process. Maintain timekeeping and records on TMS in a timely manner for payroll purposes. Proactively manage absenteeism and attendance and escalate if necessary. Manage employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching. Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Ad-hoc duties may be assigned. Person specification: Computer literate with intermediate/Advanced MS Office skills. Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross functional teams. Strong planning & organisational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in the English language is a requirement alongside eligibility to work in Ireland. Proven ability to meet deadlines. A "can do" work ethic with excellent problem-solving skills. JOB QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS Essential criteria Minimum Leaving Certificate required or equivalent. May substitute experience in lieu of educational requirements. Experience working in a supervisory/managerial role. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross functional teams. Strong planning & organisational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in the English language is a requirement alongside eligibility to work in Ireland. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers. Operator II level is highly advantageous OR Minimum 6 months Jabil experience for internal applicants. Desired criteria Experience in electronic manufacturing environment is highly desirable. Experience in leading process improvements/lean manufacturing activities in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
