Overview: We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our growing team at Landmark, a leading Managed Services Provider (MSP). The successful candidate will have a strong background in delivering IT infrastructure projects, with expertise in SonicWall Firewalls, Ubiquiti Wifi solutions, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Azure. The role requires hands-on experience with migrations to the cloud, and infrastructure upgrades. The Project Engineer will be responsible for scoping, building statements of work (SOW), and presenting project plans to customers for approval, followed by the execution of the project work.


Responsibilities: Project Scoping and Planning:Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and technical requirements.Conduct detailed assessments of existing IT environments and identify opportunities for improvements or upgrades.Develop comprehensive project scopes, including objectives, timelines, resources, and budget estimates.Create and refine Statements of Work (SOW) that outline project deliverables, milestones, and success criteria.Client Engagement and Presentation:Present project proposals, SOWs, and technical solutions to clients in a clear and professional manner.Address client questions and concerns, ensuring alignment on project goals and expectations.Obtain client sign-off on project plans before initiating project work.Project Execution:Lead the implementation of IT projects, including Cloud/SharePoint migrations, and infrastructure uplifts.Configure and deploy SonicWall Firewalls, Ubiquiti Wifi solutions, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Azure services as part of project deliverables.Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and third-party contractors to ensure seamless execution of projects.Monitor project progress, manage risks, and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines and client expectations.Technical Expertise:Execute complex migrations to the cloud, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.Oversee infrastructure uplifts, including hardware upgrades, network optimization, and security enhancements.Utilize best practices for cloud infrastructure, data migration, and security to deliver high-quality project outcomes.Documentation and Handover:Create detailed documentation for all aspects of the project, including configurations, procedures, and user guides.Provide comprehensive handover to the support team and ensure that clients are fully informed and trained on new systems.Conduct post-project reviews to assess project success and identify areas for improvement.Continuous Improvement:Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in IT infrastructure, cloud services, and cybersecurity.Provide feedback to improve internal processes, project management methodologies, and client engagement strategies.Mentor and support junior engineers in developing their technical and project management skills. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).5+ years of experience in IT project engineering, preferably within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment.Proven experience with SonicWall Firewalls, Ubiquiti Wifi solutions, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Azure services.Hands-on experience with cloud migrations,, and infrastructure management.Strong ability to scope projects, create detailed Statements of Work (SOW), and present them to clients.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.Certifications such as Sonicwall Network Security Administrator (SNSA), Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent are a plus.A proactive, detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills.
