Morgan McKinley is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Programme Director to lead a high-impact programme within the transport sector for our client, a prominent authority in Ireland. Key Responsibilities: Programme Leadership: Oversee the successful delivery of large-scale transport programmes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, timelines, and budgets. Stakeholder Management: Engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including government bodies, transport operators, and community groups, to foster strong working relationships and achieve programme goals. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive programme plans, identifying key milestones, risks, and mitigation strategies to ensure smooth execution. Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of project managers and technical experts, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Budget Management: Oversee the programme budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and financial accountability. Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Key Requirements: Proven Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in programme management at a director level, with a strong background in the transport sector or a related field. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex challenges into actionable plans. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Project Management Certification: PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is desirable. Experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies essential Educational Background: A relevant third level qualification in engineering, project management, or a related field is preferred.
