Project Accountant- D1/Hybrid

My client, a public body, has an immediate requirement for a Project Accountant on an initial 12-month contract with a view to permanency - hybrid working Dublin 1.
Day to day tasks will include: Responsible for preparing accurate and timely monthly financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators.Proactively assist project teams and stakeholders with the development of standardised business cases for internal project approval and ongoing financial matters.Maintain the Fixed Assets function to ensure that capital spend is correctly accounted for and that all month-end, year-end and audit commitments are met.Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for the unit, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure accurate, realistic, and achievable financial targets.Perform month-end routines including reconciliation of relevant income and balance sheet accounts to ensure that internal records of the group are maintained and contribute to statutory requirements including preparation of lead schedules, notes to the accounts, audit evidence, reconciliations, commentaries, and supporting the resolution of audit queries.Support the reporting team lead by building and maintaining strong collaborative and professional relationships within the group.Build and maintain strong collaborative and professional relationships with key stakeholders across operations and the wider team.The ideal candidate will be: A Qualified Accountant, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA.Have a track record of producing insightful, timely, and accurate reporting.A strategic thinker with a proactive and collaborative approach.Strong verbal, analytical, and numerical skills.Contact Natasha Bevan today for more information.
