Job Position Summary Project Controls are the data gathering and data management (budget, resources & schedule) used to support, determine, and constructively influence the time and cost outcomes of projects within the Project Management Portfolio.
The role is to lead the Project Controls group, across the Jacksonville and Ireland sites, to deploy and support the capital projects using industry best practices tools and reporting templates.
The Project Controls group is responsible for defining the cost structure for all capital projects and the associated reporting tools across JJVC LIM and JAX sites.
This combines to provide JJVC with an accurate process and method for tracking project spend and forecasting future spend plan, all with the objective of delivering JJVC capital projects as cost effective as possible.
Capital spend performance and forecasting is managed and reported to SI&D, with the role fulfilling the Point of Contact for all JJVC MAKE capital spend performance to SI&D.
All Capital Appropriation Requests are developed and managed in the Project Controls group, coordinating with SI&D for business case review and approval processes.
The Projects Controls function is responsible for the planning and scheduling framework for supporting large capital projects in JJVC, ensuring consistency with business strategy, commitments, and goals.
This includes the development and deployment of scheduling tools and templates, complimented by associated reporting tools.
Included in the scheduling of projects, the Controls department must develop and implement standard tools for identifying, managing, and communicating risk items associated with projects across the sites.
As a close partner with E&PS group, the Projects Controls function will centralize the reporting of projects through the IDEA process and associated project ESR reports.
Additionally, the Controls group will coordinate the cost estimate phase of a project ensuring, where required, full Cost Risk and Schedule Risk assessments are completed as part of the capital appropriation process for JJVC.
