Project Engineer Responsibilities: Responsibility for handling technical matters. Working closely on construction plans with clients, architects, and other professionals. Ensuring that projects meet legal guidelines, environmental directives, and health and safety requirements. Using a range of computer packages for developing detailed designs. Managing budgets and project resources. Undertaking technical and feasibility studies including site investigations. Supervising project teams and providing progress reports to both clients and senior managers. Involving the design team in supply chain and procurement. Identifying need for and managing specialist sub-contractor/consultancy designs. Identifying and managing third party involvement. Necessary Skills and Requirements: You will possess a 3rd level qualification in Civil Engineering. 5+ years' experience in civil engineering (design AND project management) preferably in the areas of Public Realm and Urban Regeneration or Public Works that entailed Pavement, Utility, Public Lighting, and Streetscape Enhancement Design or Management of such Works. Previous experience of working in the design and project management of civil projects. Experience of working in collaboration with other design disciplines, namely; architects, landscape architects, and urban designers. Excellent written English. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
