Overview The Project Lead-Capex Engineering manages the site Capital Program ensuring that the approved portfolio is delivered to the approved deliverables. Annual Portfolio is approx. €17M.
This role ensures that all governance and compliance of the site capital portfolio is aligned to global standards and requirements, both Engineering and Finance. In addition to ensuring the compliance of the capital execution, the site capex manager is also responsible for the project team delivering the portfolio. This team consists of a cross-functional team of engineers working across two sites.
This role sits on the site ELT (Extended Leadership Team) and is seen as a key role in helping to devise and execute the site strategy. As part of this role, equipment validation will be the responsibility of the site capex manager.
Role Responsibilities and tasks: Be the custodian and accountable for updating the financial performance of the capital portfolio by inputting to both site and above site metrics, including Assets Under Construction, Impairment, OPEX, CAPEX, Headcount mgmt. etc. Coach team members and site peers on the compiling of the capital approval documentation to ensure that these are to a very high standard and make business sense ahead of reaching the SLT Sponsor. Act as secretary to the local Capital Approval Board, which is chaired by the site director. Ownership for the site Facility Investment Plan. Ensure this is completed annually as per the approval cycle and follows the standard work for completion. Provide subject matter expertise to regulatory inspections and interact with auditors, as necessary. Assist in preparation of large-scale project estimates in alignment with site objectives. Site SME for Construction Management and owner of the site permit system. Ensures that the team adheres to all EHS requirements by being a role model for issue resolution. Ensures that any investigations are executed to the highest standard and that CAPAs address the true root cause of any issues. Adhere to all Quality Compliance standards (Data Integrity, QA, and QC, etc.) Skills & Experience Requirements Extensive experience in a similar role in enterprise pharma manufacturing. Proven ability to successfully deliver per annum capex portfolio of 10 million euro and above. Degree level qualification in engineering. Proven skills in communication and presentation of case studies, briefs and proposals at all levels of an enterprise level manufacturing firm, (FMCG-Pharma). Significant and recent EHS experience. Proven ability to manage the needs of the individual and collective at enterprise level.
