Oxfam Ireland is a member of CISUTAC (Circular and Sustainable Textiles and Clothing), a European Commission funded consortium tasked to increase circularity and sustainability in textiles and clothing in Europe by developing pilot digital repair/dismantling workstations and changing sectorial and customers behaviours.
Oxfam Ireland will be delivering 2 specific projects under CISUTAC and the 2 key objectives are to; Unravel and quantify consumers acceptance and behaviour of circular textiles and influencing this behaviour by cocreating interventions to support repair and second-hand (Task 3.1), Raise awareness of EU citizens about the environmental impact of buying new clothes and the benefit of reusing, donating and shopping second hand textiles (Task 5.3).
We are looking for an experienced individual to join our team who can help to develop and deliver: A consumer survey to explore behaviours and motivations related to donating and shopping second hand, An intervention to recruit new stock donors from among the general public, A campaign based on the intervention and survey findings to encourage more consumers to donate and shop second hand.
Key Activities Develop a comprehensive project plan for OIEs work under CISUTAC Lead on the implementation of the project plan, including by managing timelines, delivery deadlines, budgets and reporting Coordinate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including key members of CISUTAC programme, to ensure plan aligns with overarching programme objectives, timelines and reporting requirements Coordinate internal and external resources needed to deliver plan on time and in budget Recruit and manage short-term contractors to carry out the survey Essential Criteria In order to be considered for the role, applicants are expected to possess some essential skills which include; Applicants MUST have the right to work in Ireland Demonstrable project management experience Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Demonstrable experience recruiting and managing contract staff Access to a vehicle or ability to meet extensive travel requirements around Ireland How to apply: To apply for this position, please click on the Apply button and submit your CV and cover letter.
