Project Manager required to work on a range of building sector projects.
Requirements for the role: Diploma in Building Services Engineering / Electrical Engineering OR Level 6 Advanced National Craft Certificate in Plumbing OR Electrical.
Ideally 5 years + post graduate design experience.
Ability to lead and deliver project designs with minimal input from Management.
Demonstrated experience in a client facing role.
Strong communication and presenting skills.
Knowledge and experience of current Design Guides, Building Regulations (incl BCAR process) EN Standards.
Job Description: Attend Design Team and Client meetings to develop Design Concepts (You will be fully supported by our Design Engineers).
Communicate the brief to our inhouse Designers to develop the Design.
Attend Mechanical & Electrical Site Co-ordination meetings with Main Contractor and Sub Contractors.
Assist in coordinating mechanical and electrical services on site with other services and the building structure.
Review equipment submittals and approve or reject them.
Ensure all Drawings are kept up to date throughout the course of the project (with the help of our inhouse Designers / CAD / Revit Team).
Manage & co-ordinate the delivery to site of utilities supplies such as ESB, Gas and Telecoms.
Provide technical advice as requested to the Client / Design Team / Sub-Contractors throughout the project.
Attend site (weekly / fortnightly) during the Construction Program for inspection.
Works to ensure they are being executed in accordance with our Design and to a high standard of workmanship.
Monitor the installation of all parts of the mechanical and electrical works carried out in connection with the project via site visits and attendance at site meetings.
On Practical Completion carry out a detailed snag of each site.
Witness the commissioning of the mechanical and electrical systems carried out in connection with the project.
Manage the handover of the As Built Drawings and Documentation.
Provide documentation to indicate general compliance of design with Building Regulations and other statutory requirements.
Carry out a review of the Safety File.
