As a Project Manager you will play a vital role in our mission to build future-proof networks that empower our clients, businesses, and communities alike.
As an integral part of our dynamic Contract Resource team, you'll be immersed in an environment driven by cutting-edge technology and fuelled by constant innovation.
Based in our client's office in Limerick or Dublin in a hybrid this is a 6-month fixed-term contract where you will work with and report to the PMO Lead.
The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery from planning and execution to testing, monitoring, controlling, and final handover.
The ideal candidate will drive projects to completion on time, within budget, and in alignment with organizational goals and quality standards.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
• Project Planning and Initiation:
o Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones.
o Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Project Execution:
o Lead cross-functional teams in delivering fibre network builds, DWDM network expansions, and co-location facility upgrades.
o Manage resources effectively to meet project requirements.
o Ensure smooth customer circuit migrations while minimizing downtime and disruptions.
• Monitoring and Control:
o Track project progress against key metrics, addressing deviations proactively.
o Manage risks, issues, and changes through established frameworks.
o Deliver regular project updates and performance reports to stakeholders.
• Testing and Handover:
o Oversee testing phases to ensure compliance with quality standards.
o Facilitate knowledge transfer and documentation for operational teams at project completion.
• Process Improvement:
o Identify inefficiencies and propose enhancements to project delivery processes.
Skills requiredRequired Qualifications and Expertise
• Professional Experience:
o Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Project Manager with a background in Network or Engineering disciplines.
• Certifications:
o PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 certification (essential).
• Technical Knowledge:
o Proven experience in:
Upgrading and building new fibre networks and DWDM network expansions.
Project management of co-location facility upgrades.
Managing customer circuit migrations.
o Familiarity with developing and refining project delivery processes.
• Skills and Competencies:
o Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
o Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects with competing priorities.
o Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
