Job DescriptionOur client is one of Ireland's top 30 leading Construction Contractors who provide construction solutions to the commercial, pharmaceutical, energy, healthcare and industrial sectors.
They are currently seeking a Project Manager for a School Project based in Co ClareYou will report directly to a Contracts Manager and be responsible for overseeing a full project team and associated subcontractors in the safe, timely execution of the works in accordance with the project budgetary, programme and quality requirements.Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of subcontractorsEnsure that the works are delivered in the safest manner possible, with the support of the Site Manager, EHS Advisor and Contracts Manager, in accordance with all legislative requirementsSupervision of site engineering resource in the timely execution of out setting out and surveying activities for various building tradesResolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise from revised details issued or from situations as they arise on siteEnsuring that all materials used, and work performed are as per specification and drawing requirementsEnsuring that all subcontractors execute their works as per their approved Inspection and Testing Plans and sign off inspection records as requiredEnsuring the RFI process is managed on site and the associated register kept up to dateEnsuring the submittals process is managed on site and the associated register kept up to dateAct as a first point of contact on site for day to day Client and designer liaisonLiaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project to ensure timely successful completionManage requisition process for all materials and plant on siteBeing familiar with the contract documents supplied by the Client/architectMonitor progress against the Contract Programme and escalate any delays or risk of delay to the Contracts Manager to mitigateAssist in the production and revision of the contract and sub-programmes with the Contracts Manager & PlannerEnsure plant, labour and materials records are issued to Head Office on a weekly basisEnsure company owned plant and equipment is maintained in good working orderAct in a courteous and professional manner at all times while protecting the position of the businessRequirementsRelevant Qualification ideally in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline or an equivalent technical degree is preferred.7+ years of experience in Construction Management including previous project management experiencePrevious experience or working with public works / RIAI etc forms of contracts.Self-motivated with strong problem solving and decision-making skills.Ability to read, understand and create contractual requirements, scope objectives and report effectively.Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.Excellent leadership skills and be able to Demonstrate Mentoring Experience of Junior TeamsBe able to Demonstrate Understanding of BIM and Digital Construction TechnologiesHighly Proficient IT Skills & be able to demonstrate Innovation SkillsExcellent organisation and time management skills with ability to manage multiple projects and prioritiesAbility to build strong relationships with clients, staff and sub-contractors.Ability to influence others with the ability to work well in a team-based environmentPackageSalary €65k - €80k Negotiable depending on experienceCompany Vehicle, Company Laptop, Company PhoneOpportunities for ProgressionProfessional Development Support and Mentoring For Persons Looking For Professional Qualifications With Recognised Bodies.Continuous Professional Development Training (CPD)Peace of Mind with Life Insurance Income ProtectionAccess to Lifestyle Benefits -Bike to Work Scheme, Gym MembershipEmployee Assistance ProgrammeLoyalty Reward Scheme (Earn Additional Leave for Service Served)Social Club
