Job DescriptionOur client is a an established specialist in cleanroom construction, HVAC services, heat recovery and carbon emission reduction projects, as well as general mechanical and electrical services.They service clients in all industry sectors, Bio Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Electronics, Food & Dairy and Data Centre/Light Industrial sectors.Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Planner will work on one of our clients key projects.The office-based role will also have a sizeable 'on-site' element.
The Project Planner, in tandem with the project team, will be responsible for:Generating a project scheduleMonitoring of project progressPreparing of both weekly and monthly progress reportsDuties:Communicate with project manager and all project stakeholders to provide any necessary assistance and/or supportReview project deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions throughout the duration of the projectPreparation of schedules, coordination and monitoring of assigned projectMonitor compliance of applicable codes and practices, in addition to quality assurance and quality control policiesIdentify items of interest or concern, then establish means and methods of recoveryReport both internally and to the client when appropriateCompare the actual cost of development project to estimatesSupervise staff in carrying out plans, programs, and servicesTravel as necessary to suppliers, conferences, and manufacturing facilitiesSupport the project manager in monitoring and reporting project costsCoordinate with project managers to successfully deliver projects to clientsResponsible for the profitable operation of large mechanical projectsRequirementsRelevant 3rd level qualification.3+years work experience in project planning, ideally in industrial construction or mechanical engineering areas.Previous experience working on site-based projects.Strong commercial management background and awareness.Proficiency in Microsoft Project Management & Primavera P6 portfolio management software.Excellent presentation & IT skills.A positive attitude with a passion to succeed, an energetic approach and an ability to take accountability.The ability to contribute comfortably as part of a team.PackageCompetitive Salary negotiable based on experience and qualificationsProfessional development opportunitiesFree onsite parkingPension supportBike-to-Work schemeWellbeing programmeHands-on training and developmentNo weekend work
