Project Quantity Surveyor | Cork €55-€65k + Benefits Internal fit-out of a Life Sciences Manufacturing plant in County Cork. The PQS will be responsible to ensure that the commercial and contractual commitments are met, and that value is maximized.
Key responsibilities: Manage day to day commercial and contract activitiesUndertake contract administration, including change management and maintenance of associated registersNegotiate and obtain best value with placement of subcontract ordersParticipate in the management of project budgets, cost plans and feasibility studies as appropriateMaximize cash flow through prompt submission of Monthly Valuations with full and accurate supporting documentation in accordance with the contractPrepare accurate monthly Cost Value Reports for review with Commercial Managers /Project Managers/Contracts Managers and presentation to the Projects DirectorsMaintain a productive relationship with all the Design Team professionals and Client representatives throughout the projectEnsure the full and proper implementation of the Commercial proceduresKey requirements: Third level qualification in Quantity Surveying & Construction Economics and or an equivalent degreeDemonstrates a knowledge and understanding of the various forms of contract used in the construction industryAbility to critically evaluate and identify gaps in documentation and commercial opportunity (contracts, drawings, specs, CVR's)In-depth knowledge and understanding of construction processes, techniques and systemsDemonstrates commercial awareness – market, competition, value for moneyStrong negotiation & conflict management skills and process oriented with focus on resultsTo apply, reach out to Matthew at ******, or on LinkedIn at Matthew Walsh's LinkedIn.
