We are looking for candidates with a sound knowledge of Sedgwick and its operation as a company, who is willing to operate flexible hours where needed, with the capacity to work independently and demonstrate initiative and innovation.
Specific Responsibilities in this roleClaimant relationship management & Third-party relationship management – ensuring continuity of contact and arranging appointmentsProcessing and actioning mail and claim related documentationIn collaboration with claims support colleagues, conducting necessary pre-site inspection investigations and entering results and updates on the electronic file systemBased on a comprehensive grasp of the case and liaising with claim support colleagues, communicating an action plan to the claimant and/or third parties – specifying actions, time frames, and deadlinesIn collaboration with claim support colleagues, monitoring the life cycle of a claim and progress chasing (ensuring fulfilment of action plans)Proactive management of a portfolio of property claims of varying complexityApplying policy cover, terms and conditionsPreparing reports on the claim under investigationArranging interim payments, examining costs and achieving a settlementIdentifying suspect or fraudulent claims and dealing with the same in accordance with fraud guidelinesRecording and resolving customer complaintsQualifications/SkillsAPA PL / CL Qualification essential (CIP or higher, desirable)High level of proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPointSound numeric skillsKnowledge of building structures with an understanding of building defects desirableFlexible with the ability to work outside normal working hours when the need arises - storms etcAbility to delicately deal with sensitive situationsHigh level interpersonal and communication (verbal/written) skillsFull clean driver's licenseExperienceA min of 2 years Loss Adjusting experienceKnowledge of building structures a distinct advantageExperience in Surveying / Engineering or a similar function very beneficialColleague BenefitsOngoing training & developmentCareer development opportunitiesHealth Insurance SchemeTax Saver Travel SchemeSedgwick's Sports & Social ClubColleague Health and Wellbeing ProgrammesPersonal Training Classes discounted for colleagues (Dublin based)Employee Assistance ProgrammeSubsidised Café (Dublin based)PHI and Life CoverCompany CarSedgwick is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
