We have an exciting opportunity for an Underwriter to join our growing Property team in Dublin.
The Underwriter will be responsible for developing and expanding new business opportunities through production & marketing calls with brokers and clients, marketing to distribution channels, pre-qualifying new business, and utilising sound underwriting acumen to select risks within company guidelines to maintain profitability.
We are seeking an individual who is intelligent, passionate and who is always striving towards excellence. Our expectations are for the teammate to be able to learn about new products and have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with all levels and disciplines.
You should be comfortable working closely with actuaries, the Claims team and underwriters from across the broader team. Good data and file management skills are required.
In addition, character, relationship building and the negotiating skills to help further build a profitable book of business are of the utmost importance.
The successful candidate will be focused on a positive customer experience, while maintaining sound underwriting discipline.

Duties & Responsibilities:Day-to-day responsibilities include underwriting a wide variety of property risks from multinational corporates to middle-market risks, across a variety of industries. You will be responsible for managing a renewal book as well as expanding and developing new business opportunities and driving development of new products.
