Excel Healthcare is currently recruiting a number of Registered Psychiatric Nurses to work within mental health services in the Wexford area. Part and full time available in near Wexford town and Enniscorthy. Working with Excel means you can choose shifts when you want and work your own hours. We have weekly pay and an easy sign up process. Responsibilities of this RPN job in Wexford: Assess psychological needs and create and adjust personal care plans in conjunction with the patient and their family based on progress and needs, building on personal strengths. Adhere to all HSE guidelines, procedures and policies. Administer psychiatric medications and monitor patients response to medication, as well as educating the patient and family regarding medication management. Work with the patient to find long-lasting solutions to mental health problems and difficulties, forming a close therapeutic bond and providing support when needed. Report treatment outcomes, progress and any incidents to appropriate authorities. Requirements of this Psychiatric Nurse job: Hold a degree in Psychiatric or General Nursing with a postgraduate qualification in psychiatric nursing. Registration as a Psychiatric Nurse with the NBMI (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland). Experience working in a variety of acute settings. Hold valid permission to work in Ireland (Valid work visa or EU/EEA citizenship) Strong interpersonal, communication and crisis intervention skills, in the case of psychiatric emergencies. Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and knowledge of various therapeutic modalities.
