Purchasing Manager Due to the continued development of a successful of the business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Purchasing Manager to join the Hardware division of an international company specialising in wholesale hardware and they have a long-established network of customers on the Island of Ireland. Key Responsibilities: Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking Assess, manage and mitigate risks Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers Determine quantity and timing of deliveries Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand Key Requirements: Proven working experience in a purchasing department Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management The proven ability to negotiate and network Working experience of vendor management software Ability to gather and analyse data competently Solid judgement along with decision making skills Third level qualification in relevant area Experience in a similar role in the last 3 years.
