Learn more at www.analog.com and on LinkedIn . Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer – Robotics and MechatronicsThe Autonomous Enterprise and Wafer Fab Sustainability team are seeking a skilled and detail-orientated Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our team of Automation Engineers.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in our robotic and mechatronic systems through rigorous testing and validation processes.
Responsibilities and ExpectationsDevelop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for robotic and mechatronic systems, ensuring all functionalities are thoroughly tested.Perform both automated and manual testing to identify defects and ensure the reliability and performance of systems.Contribute to the development of automated tests scripts to validate the functionality of PLC and robot programs (including but not limited to unit tests, integration tests, and system tests)Use simulation tools to test the programs in a virtual environment before deploying them to actual hardware to identify issues early in the development process.Document and track defects and bugs and work closely with the development team to resolve issues.Ensure all products comply with the required quality standards and regulatory requirements.Identify areas for improvement in the testing process and implement best practices to enhance product quality.Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders, to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.Maintain detailed documentation of test procedures, results, and quality metrics.Qualifications & Related ExperienceThird level qualification in electronics, automation, robotics or other relevant engineering discipline.Experience in QA engineering, preferably aligned to robotics and mechatronic deployments.Experience with PLC coding and debugging.Strong understanding of robotics and mechatronics systems, including sensors, actuators, and control systems.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.Advantageous Skills and ExperiencesUnderstanding of robotics, automation, and manufacturing processes.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.Knowledge of industry standards for writing reliable and maintainable code such as IEC 61131-3 for PLC programming and ISO 10218-1 for robot safety.LocationLimerick, Ireland Analog DevicesFor positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
