Your job as a QC Chemist will be to provide analytical services while performing a key role in the maintenance of a safe, efficient and functional chemistry Laboratories, developed to the required standards, in accordance with cGLP.

Main responsibilities:Provide analytical chemistry services and support to SiteEffective interaction with other departments on matters related to raw materials, intermediates and finished batch releases. In particular, close contact maintained with Quality Assurance Production, Engineering and PlannersMaintain, update and issue chemical methods, specifications and SOP's in compliance to pharmacopoeial and regulatory requirementsAssist with training of the analysts in areas of expertise and knowledge and in new methods, SOP's and updatesTrend such results, record on COA's where required and complete OOS's investigations on a timely basisUpdate the QC Team Leader on potential problems and highlight improvements where possible by use of the normal communication meansAudit and review chemistry test results on a daily basis and ensure compliance with cGLP; checking/auditing laboratory notebooks and analytical reportsAbout youExperience: 2-3 years' laboratory experience obtained in a manufacturing environment – ideally part of which would be in the pharmaceutical sectorTechnical and Soft skills: Operational experience of quality laboratories in a fast-moving manufacturing environmentKnowledge of quality management systems, pharmaceutical manufacturing operations, requirements for cGLP, pharmacopoeial methods and stabilityUnderstand relevant quality/compliance regulations, and KPIs for the siteCan manage projects to plan/budgetGood communication and an effective facilitatorShows flexibility, drive, innovation, can collaborate effectively with othersEducation: Degree in Science (Chemistry or Biochemistry preferred)Why choose us?Bring the miracles of science to life alongside a supportive, future-focused team.Discover endless opportunities to grow your talent and drive your career, whether it's through a promotion or lateral move, at home or internationally.Enjoy a thoughtful, well-crafted rewards package that recognizes your contribution and amplifies your impact.Take good care of yourself and your family, with a wide range of health and wellbeing benefits including high-quality healthcare, prevention and wellness programs and at least 14 weeks' gender-neutral parental leave.Play an instrumental part in creating best practice within our manufacturing facility.Our Waterford site is easily accessible from the M9 and offers excellent facilities including a subsidized restaurant and newly refurbished gym.If the description fits your experience and has aroused your interest, we encourage you to apply so we can get in contact with you!
